Is the U-Pass valid for the Light rail? I live in Federal Way and sometimes metro routes I look up use it to the city. I know it's good for buses, including Sound Transit buses, and the light rail is part of Sound Transit. I've been buying the $5 round-trip tickets just to be safe, but am I wasting money in doing so? If I have to pay for a service and all the time consuming parts of public metro bus-switching I'd rather spend a little more and just drive to school on those days. :/

Time Schedule Help

I may be completely overlooking something obvious but I'm hoping someone can explain the Time Schedule to me. I'm a transfer student for Spring and I just registered for some of my classes a couple of days ago.

On the enrollment summary, what does it mean when it shows "denied requests"? Also, there's a class I'm trying to get into that is currently enrolled at 131/130. Is this because a student has emailed the professor for an add code? I emailed the professor 3 days ago and have yet to hear back.

Finally, when a class is closed but it shows the room capacity to be quite higher, is that generally for students who are going to add after the first day of class? Is it fairly easy to crash a class you need to get into?

Thanks in advance for helping me figure it all out!

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I'm hoping to transfer to UW in a couple years. I decided to switch my major last semester around the same time that I was given an ultimatum at work -- either go full-time or be laid off. Since I was part time, I couldn't collect unemployment and had to drop a math class that was during my new work hours.

My new major doesn't require math of that level, so there's a W on my transcript for last semester that hasn't been re-taken. I don't want to re-take the class because I learned almost all of it and don't relish doing it all over again if it's not even required for my degree, especially since work also stopped tuition reimbursement and I have other priorities if I want to graduate sometime in this decade.

Is that going to be a problem? Would I be able to explain to UW why I had to withdraw, or am I expected to successfully pass the course whether or not I need it anymore? Do they even care about Ws?

Thanks in advance!

When does financial aid get updated on our uw account? Like when are award letters sent and stuff? I got like $8,000 in aid last year but i can't remember when it was given.

  Hi,
I remember someone saying that there's a trick to knowing if you're accepted to UW early. The one where you click the unofficial transcript button in MyUW and a blank transcript will show up with a User I.D. on it. I was wondering if this trick also pertains to the UW bothell application?

I'm applying to both campuses: Seattle and Bothell. Right now it says that my Bothell application has already undergone a review, but my Seattle application is still waiting for one.
